I am a 3-mixed race lady who has long, Native American hair and the women here who do my hair are the only people I will trust with my hair. You'd think I'd have a better experience at White or East Asian salons-not so. My experience at those places is a high price tag and too much cut off. The atmosphere is friendly and homely and the women who work here are cool and give better, more direct advice on how to better your life than any shrink. The price is right-I pay less to get my hair done here for a better job. It is also a Muslim owned business, and as a Muslim that's important to me. However, it accepts and does a good job for anybody. I never have spent more than $40 to get a cut AND color here. It was funny when I met the Nut mayor here and he bull jived everybody with a straight face and we laughed about it after the fact. I love this place-I live in NJ now and am making an appointment soon.

it wasn't the worst cut i've ever had, but it really wasn't that great, the dudes tools were questionable. the enviornment was also really crowded, messy, and unprofessional looking, border line just plain dirty. i could excuse the mess if the product was decent but like i said the cut was off and the shave wasn't close because he used clippers meant for the head on my face, not only did it hurt like hell but still left a great deal of stubble. had to come home a get a closer shave with my own face clippers. for some reason he also sprayed alcohol on my hair while cutting it , which anyone knows leaves your hair extremely dry. untop of this there is a huge sign on their awning that screams 25% off for students, yet after my hair cut every one seemed to not know any details on the discount, would never go back, or recommend the place to anyone who needs a decent barber.
