Fall Fashion Trends

Get ready for the Fall weather with some of our favorite fashion looks this year.  From 1980's glamour to WestWorld inspired looks we are really into some of the hottest runway trends for Fall this year.  Check out our favorite looks and trends below:

Eighties Glamour

The eighties are back with gusto.  Expect to see big shoulder pads, cinched waist lines, lots of sparkle, shine, big belts, animal prints, leather, and ultra violet eye shadow.  Puffy sleaves, pleated pants and lots of eye make-up will be all the rage for Fall.  Ultra-Violet was named Pantone's color of the year, and that color is bringing a definite 80's vibe to accessories and make-up looks that pair great with oversized jackets, puffy sleaved tops and animal prints.  The days of 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' are back, and now is the time to show your inner wild side.

Tartan Prints

You might start seeing a lot more plaid or tartan in stores coming near you.  Tartan colors were all over the runways for Fall 2018, from edgy Versace pieces to ultra feminine Jenny Packham tartan dresses.  It's another sign of a throw back to the late eighties, early 90's, only less grungy and more polished and pretty.  If you're a fan of Scottish culture and prints, this trend is perfect for you.

The new plaid looks are a throw-back to the kind of 90's preppy looks we saw worn in the movie 'Clueless'.  Think preppy, tailored, girlie looks when puttin your tartan ensemble together this Fall.  If you like the primary colors of fire engine red, ultra-marine blue and bright yellow, there will definitely be some plaid pieces to suit your pallette.

Leather Jackets

Stylish leather jackets will be all the rage for Fall.  Pairing an edgy leather biker jacket, or bomber jacket with a pretty tartan dress, or sparkly top is the perfect look for Fall 2018.  Add some smoking hot leather with some glam or preppie ensemble will give you some serious style and fashionista creds.

The leather jackets that are really hot right now are the 80's bomber jacket, classic motorcycle jackets, lines with shearling and belted trench coats.

Hot Pink

In another throw back to the eighties with a more modern twist, hot pink has made a return to the runways for Fall 2018.  This is a color that really stands out in a crowd, and can go from a really contemporary, edgy look, to a lacy, sparkly, girlie look.  Time for us all to look pretty in pink again.

Carolina Herrera really embraced a hot pink color pallette in her Fall collection this year, with pretty, flirty dresses that made a big impact on the runway.

Animal Prints

Everyone's favorite print from the 80's and 90's is back this Fall.  Don't be afraid to express your wild side with animal prints, from cheetah spots, zebra stripes to snake skin.  There were a lot of animal print jackets and coats, snakeskin boots and brightly colored animal print suits on display.

Gloss, Glitter & Shine

The runways were full of razzle dazzle for Fall, especially glittery silvers, irredescent fabrics and golden sparkle.  Glamour was on full display with sparkly dresses and tops paired with lace, shiny fabrics and glittery embellesments for days.  So if you really want to look hot on date night this Fall, don't be afraid to get your sparkle on.

Westworld

My favorite look for Fall is the western trend we're seeing  all over the runways.  It definiltey ranks as the most ubiquitious inspiration on the runways this Fall season.  Maybe the Sci-Fi Western themed show on HBO Westworld helped bring about this trend.  I'm not sure where it came from, but I love it.  Think Evan Rachel Wood or Thandie Newton from Westworld in either prarie inspired looks or glamorous 1800's brothel themed dresses complete with lace and cinched, belted waistlines.

Look out for a lot of flowy prarie style dresses, western cut, cowboy tops, lots and lots of denim, south western knit fabrics and patterns, Native American prints and of course cowboy boots.

There were so many gorgeous ensembles to love with this inspiration, it's hard to choose which designers had the best looks but, some of my personal favorites were presented by Sacai, Isabel Marant, Etro, Fendi and Elie Saab.
