I paid for a manicure and pedicure through Groupon but did not receive the services I paid for. After at least 3 unanswered emails, 3 unreturned voicemails, and 1 in-person encounter, I finally was able to schedule an appointment (~2.5 months in advance...after trying to book an appointment for at least 2 months). 3 days before my appointment, I received an email stating my appointment had been canceled due to a “Nail Tech Emergency. Will contact to rebook.” Approximately 3 weeks later I replied to the email stating I still had not been contacted regarding rebooking my appointment. It has been ~2.5 months since that last email and I have heard nor seen anything from The Nail Nook. I do not recommend giving this company your business.

I bought a living social deal here, but it was impossible to make an appointment. They don't answer their phones. They don't return phone calls. Their email bounces back. They keep the door locked and will not answer the door. They have an online appointment system, but the next available appointment for a pedicure was 4 months down the road. FOUR MONTHS! For a basic mani/pedi. I strongly suspect this is a fraudulent orgnaization, perhaps trying to squeeze out a few more dollars via the living social deal before they go under. Terrible service.

The first time I went by Mona was really rude & told me I had to set an appointment online. The salon is a one woman shop, so it took months to get an appt. She did my toes, moved me to the nail chair and started my nails. She then cleaned the tub with the same gloves that she did my toes and started my nails in. After she came over to finish my nails. When I asked her if she planned to change her gloves she said she hadn't planned on it, but did when I insisted. That is how people get infections. I'd never go back here and certainly wouldn't pay the regular rate of $50. Go to Polished or Q nails.

If you bought a Living Social deal from here just call and get a refund through Living Social. Nail Nook has disconnected phone, impossible online appointment system... not worth the time. The place is a room with one chair. Get a refund. Living Social said they had many people call and complain about this business. Scam.
